16A - What's Your Secret Sauce

Self assessment
I believe what sets me apart from most of my peers is my ability to command a presence in a room and my social capability. I have never been intimidated in social situations and find it very easy to meet new people. I have a vast knowledge of the news, particularly sports, and stay informed on trending information in today's society. I would consider myself a very loyal person, and always have the backs of my friends and relatives. I think that I am a very persuasive and capable public speaker / negotiator.

5 Ways That I have a Unique Human Capital
1. Loyalty
2. Commanding Presence
3. Social skills
4. Persuasiveness
5. First Impressions

Interview 1 Takeaway
My interviewee agreed with my five strengths. He also stated that I have a strong emphasis on truthfulness and should put that on my list.

Interview 2 Takeaway
My interviewee did not agree with two of my unique human capital traits. She did not remember my first impression with her and claimed loyalty should not be on the list because I've cancelled plans before. She also stated that being spontaneous should be on my list.

Interview 3 Takeaway
My third interviewee also did not agree with my strengths of first impression because he did not remember our first encounter. He stated that he liked social skills on my list because I am always talking to people when we first met them.

Interview 4 Takeaway
My fourth interviewee agreed with all my strengths. He would have reordered them though, as he thinks persuasiveness is my top quality.

Interview 5 Takeaway
My fifth interviewee did not agree with any of my top five human capital qualities. She believes that my best qualities come from my character and ability to care for others. She would have put qualities relating to my character on the list instead.

Reflect on the Differences:
Based off of the answers my interviewee's gave, I think my list was pretty accurate. If I were to redo the list, I would incorporate some more qualities indicative to my character. Overall, I feel like I had a good grasp on my traits.

  1. Hey Ryan, I like your unique human capital that you have, and I have some of the same ones you have which is loyalty and social skills. I feel that social skill is the most important skill to have or grow into because it can really help you build up connections and can get you more jobs and grow more connections along with that. Good job.

I think your outgoing eager to meet new people that was both on your personal list and all of your interviewees agreed upon is really important. That of all things is one of the most important qualities when it comes to starting a business and keeping it. Connections really go a long way, good job!
